Strifalidi (rope twister)
This small wooden tool is called "strifalidi" and was used to make ropes. With this tool they twisted the goat's hair and turned it into a rope, called "lytari". This rope was relatively thin and was used for tying animals and small objects but also to string the bells in the costume of the " Geros ".
This small tool is a example of the Skyrian sense of decoration and micro woodcarving. This artistic skill was mainly amateurish and was practiced by villagers, particularly shepherds, It did not require specialized knowledge or tools: a knife or a pocketknife was enough to turn even a small utilitarian tool into a work of art.
